According to CATSA guidelines, canes are permitted through the security checkpoint. A Screening Officer will inspect the cane as part of the screening process. If you are not able to walk through the metal detector unassisted, the Screening Officer will offer you a courtesy non-metallic cane (for temporary use for this purpose only). Note that a walking or hiking stick is permitted only when used as a mobility aid.
