According to CATSA guidelines, grease gun tools that are hand-powered, pneumatic, or electric are permitted in your carry-on. Grease cartridges must be in quantities of 100 mL (3.4 oz) or less. Tools powered by compressed air are not permitted in your carry-on. In checked baggage, you are permitted to bring a maximum limit of 500 mL or 500 g per grease cartridge container, with a total net quantity not exceeding 2 L or 2 kg in their checked baggage. Release valve on aerosols must be protected by a cap or other suitable means to prevent accidental release of the contents. Specific guidelines you need to follow for built-in batteries.
