According to CATSA guidelines, lithium ion batteries with a watt-hour (Wh) rating of 99 Wh or less may be carried in a device in either carry-on or checked baggage. Spare batteries: Spare lithium ion batteries of 99 Wh or less must be packed in carry-on and are permitted only with air carrier approval in checked baggage.
